Distribution : - All over India ,Not found in North West
Status :- Common, Most Common Viper in India.
At Birth:- 200 to 425 mm (8 to 17 inch) 
Adult:- 1000 mm ( 39 inch)
Maximum Length:- 2000 mm ( 79 inch )
Breeding Season:- In Between May to July or Mid August Female give birth to 6-63 live young ( Generally not more than 60 ).

1.The Snake Expands its body when disturbed to show Black and White Scale Marking.
2.Also they may open their mouth in threat display and Point their head in the direction of perceived threat.
